Generosity which Inspires and Transforms

The UF College of Nursing is extremely grateful to those who have generously
supported its programs and endeavors. Private funding enables us to continue to provide the finest educational, teaching, research and practice experiences for our students and faculty. These experiences are translated into providing the highest quality patient care for all and allow our students and faculty to CARE, LEAD and INSPIRE.

Alumni Book Awards

The 2014 Book Award recipients were recognized during the Alumni Reunion Tailgate in September.

The 2014 Book Award recipients were recognized during the Alumni Reunion Tailgate in September.

The Alumni Book Awards program gives small monetary awards to help offset the rising cost of textbooks for first year nursing students.

Currently, first year nursing students spend nearly $1,300 on books. This program allows alumni to take an active role in the future of current nursing students by helping alleviate the financial strain of purchasing textbooks and ensuring that smart and talented students complete their four-year degree at UF. In 2014, the alumni honored the 15 book Award winners at the fall reunion festivities.

Alumni can make a gift to support the Alumni Book Awards program, the Dean’s Excellence Fund and other programs on-line at https://www.uff.ufl.edu/OnlineGiving/Nursing.asp or by contacting the office of development and alumni affairs.
