For Professor Emeritus Jodi Irving, the UF College of Nursing has made up a large part of her life, and she, in return, has played an integral role in its history. For more than 50 years, Irving has educated thousands of Gator Nurses. She has also taken on the role of historian, preserving College of Nursing artifacts and creating spaces dedicated to celebrating Gator Nursing’s 62 years. In this video that was produced to be shown to the class of junior nursing students, Irving takes viewers on a historical tour of the College of Nursing, highlighting prominent historical moments in each decade.
